Getting to Penn State

Conveniently situated amidst many major cities, the State College, Pa., campus is within driving distance from metropolitan hubs like Harrisburg (1.5 hours, 90 miles), Pittsburgh (3 hours, 137 miles), Philadelphia (3.5 hours, 194 miles), Baltimore (3.5 hours, 155 miles), Washington, D.C. (4 hours, 190 miles), New York City (5 hours, 250 miles), and Toronto (6.5 hours, 304 miles).

From the northeast (New York City, the Poconos), follow I-80 West to Exit #161 (Bellefonte), and follow I-99 south to State College. Take Exit $74 for Innovation Park/Penn State University.

From the southeast (Philadelphia), follow I-76 West (the Pennsylvania Turnpike) to Exit #247 (Harrisburg East), then follow I-283 to I-83, proceeding north on I-83 to the I-81 interchange. Then follow I-81 South to the exit for Route 322/22 West. Proceed west on Route 322 through Lewistown to State College, Exit #74.

From the southwest (Pittsburgh), follow Route 22 East to the exit for Route 22 at Duncansville, then follow I-99/Route 220 North to Route 322 East to the Mt. Nittany Expressway/State College Exit #73.

From the northwest (Erie), follow I-80 East to Exit #124 (Woodland) just east of Clearfield, then follow Route 322 East to the Mt. Nittany Expressway/State College Exit #73.
